The Centre of Policy Studies Knowledgebase

This website contains around 750 web pages relating to the work of the Centre of Policy Studies (CoPS), a group of CGE modellers based at Victoria University, Melbourne. The material includes:

• Many downloadable Working Papers.
• Extensive documentation of the GEMPACK software used for solving CGE models, developed at the unit.
• Details of CGE models constructed and used at CoPS.
• An archive of technical notes, presentations, articles, student theses, and databases.
• Details of training courses in CGE modelling.
• Sources for books published from CoPS.

• CoPS is hosting the National CGE Modelling Workshop on 23 October 2026 at the Lonsdale room, level 2, 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. The Workshop is an annual event that provides a forum for CGE modellers to exhibit and discuss their work. Register here.

• In July 2026, Victoria University and the Bank of Papua New Guinea formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a new chapter in a collaboration between the Bank and the Centre of Policy Studies that began more than two decades ago.
